Willow is a lovely little merle lurcher (whippet x collie ) who arrived into rescue severely underweight, sick, covered in flea, very nervous and without ever being microchipped or vaccinated. Since being in rescue she has been flead, microchipped, vaccinated, put on a good diet and is gaining weight nicely. She has been socialising with the other dogs in foster and is super playful and makes friends with everyone. She often gets a crazy burst of energy and likes to do zoomies round the garden. She has pretty good recall and walks lovely on lead. She needs someone who is calm and encouraging who can slowly show her the world and help her continue to gain confidence. Once she does feel safe she is very much a silly, playful and bouncy teen who equally loves a cuddle on the sofa. very much the baby of the lurcher gang and will try to cuddle up with any dog, she often found curled up with delilah and tries her hardest to get cabbage to cuddle although shes not so much of a fan. She would be best in a home with another dog and an owner who can dedicate time to working with the dogs indivially as well as a pair so they can continue to develop and mature. she loves a good sprint in a safe area, hates the water very cat like in that sense, if theres a puddle on the path she'll try her hardest to get around it or will jump over to avoid getting her toes wet. she does needs some work on counter surfing and being left alone, tends to quiten down after a few minutes but would need to be in a safe area with zero access to the kitchen as she will take the opportunity to see whats on the counters to eat. overall a lovely dog to work with and has so much potential.
