About Teddy:
We have been working with a behaviourist whilst Teddy is in rescue to deal with his reactivity, which teddy is responding really well to and has made much progress. Teddy is a young Lakie that had no socialisation prior to rescue and as a result he finds the big wide world a bit overwhelming and just a lot to process. His previous reaction to things he found stressful or simply too exciting was to bark and lunge, with a couple months of training and commitment teddy is a different dog entirely, he has proven himself time and time again, he can walk past others with no reaction, is looking to his handler for direction and checking in, slowly progressing to meeting new dogs when out and interacting appropriately, he’s making his own good choices when overwhelmed, his recall is impeccable. He is a bright and clever boy and is more than ready to continue his progress and go on many adventures. His new home must be committed to continuing his progress so he can be the best version of himself. He's super loving, affectionate and generally adorable character with his people. Teddy needs a active committed home, who can take him on plenty of adventures, he is not a walk around the block dog, a lack of appropriate exercise will result in him regressing. A home that will love and guide him, not getting upset if he does have a reaction or a setback, a positive calm attitude is a must. As previously posted Teddy absolutely loves his canicross. A sporty type home or just an active outdoorsy owner that enjoys hiking would be ideal. A more rural home would be ideal. So we continue our search for a family that recognises what a little diamond he has the potential to become.
