About florence and gertie:

This pair came in as they were fighting with another dog in their previous home. Initially I did consider they would simply be best parted. I rarely send pairs out together as most that come in actually don't have very healthy bonds. The more time I've spent with this pair both together and individually I actually do think they are nice together and have a healthy happy relationship. The issue we have is that both have their individual issues that need worked on. So a big commitment for any home to take on. Basic training/manners/life skills needs brushed up with regards to Gertie and Florence needs to build some confidence in her own right. I would definitely recommend a few classes with a behaviourist for both. Individually or as a pair we are looking for terrier and preferably rescue experienced home/s that recognise the need for, value of and actually enjoy training and building a bond with their dog/s. There were no boundaries previously, no input or training, exercise and enrichment needs not met....this was always going to end badly. Terrier whose needs are not met will always create mischief/show unwanted behaviours. There is nothing complex or difficult about the girls . We simply want a home/s that want better for the girls, to bring out the best in them , owners that are enthusiastic and up for the challenge, willing to fully commit and invest so to enjoy the happiest of lives in the long run.... individually or as a pair this is what we want for them. Both youngsters that have their whole lives ahead of them and are just waiting for some active owners to show them the world and get them out on all of the adventures. They need active homes. They're a fun pair with lots of energy. They need owners to match their energy and channel it in a positive way. Both absolutely gorgeous characters that any home would be lucky to have.

They will go together or as only pets. No babies or young kids please. Teens considered. We are looking for secure gardens and more rural homes . Owners with time, energy, a sense of fun and adventure. Most of all committed terrier savvy homes.
